Mather & Platt Pumps proposes de-listing from Indian stock exchanges

From RTTnews (via Nasdaq.com): Mather & Platt Pumps said on Tuesday it has received a proposal from WILO SE, the present promoter and majority shareholder of the company to acquire its equity shares at an exit price of Rs.150 each. According to a proposal, WILO SE would acquire all the shares held by public shareholders in the company and will do a voluntary de-listing of the equity shares from the Bombay Stock Exchange and Pune Stock Exchange, where it is presently listed. The board of directors of Mather & Platt would meet on September 17 to consider the proposal.

Flowserve to Supply Critical Safety-Related Pumps and Valves to Electricite de France for the Evolutionary Power Reactor, Flamanville 3, in France

Pentair's Pumps Perform Well in Hurricane Gustav Challenge

From Business Wire (via Yahoo! Finance): Pentair, Inc. (NYSE: PNR - News) announced today that the eleven Fairbanks Morse ("Fairbanks") pumps installed in New Orleans' 17th Street canal performed as planned, helping to prevent flooding from Hurricane Gustav. Each of the Pentair pumps is capable of pumping approximately 160,000 gallons of water per minute; they serve as additional capacity to the city's existing water infrastructure to manage water levels in the event of hurricanes such as Gustav.
